We have based our Operetta loudspeaker cable on the same design principles that earned our Charleston loudspeaker cable the ‘Loudspeaker Cable of the Year’ award in 2020 from Hi-Fi Plus magazine, but have used a simpler design with fewer components to create outstanding value for money for consumers.

As part of the Operetta Collection, we recommend that the Operetta loudspeaker cable will give the very best overall value to your music in systems using loudspeakers priced between around £2500 to £5000, but the cable will work very well in any good music system. 

Operetta loudspeaker cable uses a large 3.0 sq. mm conductor wire to provide improved loudspeaker damping and wider stereo imaging.

The conductors are screened over their whole length by a braided metal screen to reduce distortion induced by high frequency noise and undesirable magnetic fields.

The cable is covered in a vibration damping braid that reduces the distortion effects of external vibration. The two cores of each cable are twisted along their length to further reduce high frequency noise.

The Operetta loudspeaker cable is fitted with Graham Nalty’s GN1 ‘Straight Line Contact’ 4mm plugs.

The wire is very tightly crimped to the contact pin of the GN1 plug to minimise contact distortion between the cable and connector.

GN1 connectors use a ‘Straight Line Contact’ pin to connect to the terminals at the amplifier and loudspeakers due to its superior sound over plugs with circumferential connection.
